Franziska Lantz

Franziska Lantz aka Global Warming/ Audio Soil/ Saydance/ Driftshift is based in London. Flowing notions of building as drawing as singing as growing as dancing as composing produce cross-pollinated constellations between her audio and visual work. Lantz is known to perform her music in disguise, acting as a protagonist in an audiovisual scenario that radiates some sort of post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Her latest exhibition featured works assembled from bones and driftwood collected on the banks of the river Thames and drums composed of jerry cans. Between 2008-2012 she has produced the weekly Radio programme DriftShift on London’s ResonanceFM, where found sounds and texts are distributed in the form of semi-autobiographical audio soil. In January 2016 DriftShift has returned to ResonanceFm with a new second series. Recent exhibitions and projects under Lantz’s Global Warming moniker have included solo exhibition heatwaves, droughts and heavy rainfall, Supportive Lopez, Berlin, 2014; Global Warming Records record label launch, London 2014; Performance for Pane per poveri, Venice, 2015; Second Series of DriftShift launched on ResonanceFM, London, 2016.
