Leo Fitzmaurice

Leo Fitzmaurice works across a range of media interrupting and making visible the familiar and the everyday. In 2004 he was invited by the British Council to take part in the Artist Links residency at Vitamin Creative Space, Guangzhou, China. He has subsequently shown work at Seventeen Gallery, London; Tanya Leighton Galley, Berlin; and Dodge NY. Solo shows have been held at New Art Gallery Walsall, and Firstsite, Colchester. Last year he made a new work Litter for Frieze Sculpture Park, London that is currently being installed at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Most recently he has been involved in the group show Reader at Gether Contemporary and in the solo show OHvHO at The Sunday painter, London. In 2012 Fitzmaurice was the recipient of the 5th Northern Art Prize.

His work is featured in; The Arts Council Collection of England, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Manchester Art Gallery, The Royal London Hospital, Locus+ Archive, and numerous private collections. He is represented by The Sunday Painter, London.
